1. Policy. College Consultant Reviews.com (“College Consultant Reviews”) policy is to respect and protect the privacy of the users of College Consultant Reviews.com (“College Consultant Reviews Web Site” or “Web Site”). This Privacy Policy applies solely to the information that College Consultant Reviews collects through the Web Site and does not apply to information College Consultant Reviews collects in any other fashion. This policy does not apply to the practices of companies that College Consultant Reviews does not own or control, or to individuals that are not under College Consultant Reviews’ supervisory control. 2. Collection and Retention of Information. Users. College Consultant Reviews collects information about use of the Web Site, such as the pages users visit most frequently, the services users access the most, and the links to other sites that users most often visit. College Consultant Reviews only uses such data in the aggregate (“Aggregate Data”). b. Registered Users. i. Registered users. Anyone looking to list a consulting service or to review a service may register with the College Consultant Reviews Web Site (“Registered Users”). During registration, users will be asked for their name, e-mail address, mailing address and have the opportunity to select a password. In addition, Registered Users may create a profile (“User Profile”) that provides potential employers with information about their qualifications and employment preferences. Candidates who choose to create a User Profile will be asked for their name, e-mail address, password and mailing address. Additionally, Users will have the option of providing information about their current job, years of experience, telephone number(s) as well as posting an image. Users may also specify contact instructions for potential constultants. Users may choose whether or not they would like to limit viewer access to their Users Profile to Web Site members (“Members Only”). Job Seeker Profiles that are not limited to Members Only, may be viewed by all Web Site users. Candidate Profiles that are limited to Members Only, may be viewed only by Registered Users and Registered Consultants (defined hereinafter). While College Consultant Reviews intends members to comprise paying consultants, services and counselors, it cannot guarantee that other parties will not gain access to this database nor does it confirm, verify or investigate in any way the accuracy of the information provided by such members. College Consultant Reviews is not responsible for the retention, use or privacy of User Profiles in these instances. c. Cookies. The Web Site uses cookies to optimize service for visitors. A cookie is a text file that is placed on your hard drive by a Web page server. You may have the ability to accept or decline cookies. Most Web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser setting to decline all cookies if you prefer. Alternatively, you may be able to modify your browser setting to notify you each time a cookie is tendered and permit you to accept or decline cookies on an individual basis. If you choose to decline cookies, however, that may hinder performance and negatively impact your experience on the Web Site. To make your repeat use with us more efficient, practical, and relevant, College Consultant Reviews may retain all the information it gathers about you indefinitely. Registered Users may designate their User Profile as “inactive” at any time, in which event the College Consultant Reviews will deactivate the Registered User account. Once deactivated, the User Profile may not be viewed by other Web Site users, however College Consultant Reviews maintains an archival copy not accessible via the Web Site. 3. Use of Information. a. College Consultant Reviews Internal Use. College Consultant Reviews uses the information it gathers on the Web Site for the purpose of operating and improving the Web Site, fostering a positive user experience, and delivering the products and services that it offers. College Consultant Reviews may also use the information it gathers to inform you of other products or services available from College Consultant Reviews or its "affiliated companies" or to contact you about your opinion of current products and services or potential new products and services or job listings that may be offered. "Affiliated Companies" means entities that control, are controlled by or are under common control with College Consultant Reviews. b. Sharing and Disclosure of Information to Others. i. Aggregate Data. College Consultant Reviews may disclose the anonymous Aggregate Data it collects to third parties. This information helps determine what is most beneficial for our users, and how College Consultant Reviews can continually improve the services and features provided to the users of the Web Site. ii. Your Information. College Consultant Reviews may disclose your “Your Information” to companies and individuals employed by College Consultant Reviews to perform functions on its behalf including, but not limited to, providing customer service, processing credit card payments, analyzing data and hosting our web servers. College Consultant Reviews will share your “Your Information” with other entities should you request College Consultant Reviews to share such information, or if College Consultant Reviews is required to by court orders, subpoenas or other legal process. College Consultant Reviews may disclose your “Your Information” it believes in good faith such action is necessary to protect the rights or property of College Consultant Reviews or protect the personal safety of users or the public. College Consultant Reviews cannot guarantee that unauthorized third parties will never defeat these security measures or use your “Your Information” for improper purposes. The User Profiles and college consultant listings must be accessed with passwords. You are advised not to share your password with any other person. 6. Links. This Web Site contains links to other sites over which College Consultant Reviews has no control. College Consultant Reviews is not responsible for the privacy practices, the content or the practices of such other Web sites to which you choose to link from the College Consultant Reviews Web Site. College Consultant Reviews encourages you to review the privacy policies of those other Web sites so you can understand how they collect, use and share your information. 7. Children. The College Consultant Reviews Web Site is not intended for children under 13 years of age. The Web Site does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. 8. Amendments. College Consultant Reviews reserves the right to amend this policy at any time. College Consultant Reviews shall post a notice of changes on the Web Site 30 days prior to any change, when and if the terms of this policy are amended. 9. Your Consent. By using the College Consultant Reviews Web Site, you consent to the collection, storage, and dissemination of personal information as described above. College Consultant Reviews reserves the right to make any and all changes to this privacy policy including, but not limited to, its collection, retention and use of information. College Consultant Reviews will post any changes to our privacy policy on this page so that you can readily review the most current policy.
