Narrative Review (More detail = more helpful) BACKGROUND & GOALS: I went to a very competitive DC private school and my friend who graduated the year before me told me about Tactical College Consulting and how it helped her find the right schools for her and get into a very selective program at Syracuse. I wanted to get into Michigan or USC, but I knew that I was on the edge of not getting into either because many students from my school were applying and they had better scores. But I was willing to work for it, I just needed to know what to do. My high school counselor was a joke. She did not even know USC had a business school when I first met with her. I knew I needed outside assistance, especially since I was the first of three kids, and my parents had no clue (they went to college in UK) Tactical College Consulting helped me focus my essays so I could get the attention of the admissions officials reading my application. Tactical also helped me talk about my extracurricular activities in more detail than I ever would have had I not known what colleges were looking for from me. I also used them for interview help like mock interviewing, which really helped when USC visited the area interviewing students. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES: I worked with Craig Meister. He is the man. pretty intense, but I needed that and his advice over a year ago has helped me be a better writer in college than I ever was through most of high school. I used Tactical by the hour, which was also good because I did not want to sign up for a package that a lot of other DC area consultants make students do for thousands of dollars. By the end of the process, my family had paid Tactical for about 20 hours. It was $120 a pop when I used them, but I think they charge more now because of more demand (my sister is using Tactical now) and because honestly some of their main competition charges more than double that per hour (if they even do per hour). RESULTS & FINAL THOUGHTS: I came across this site now as I am doing research on online review sites as a freshman (at USC) and I am actually happy I did not come across it when I first looked for help with college admissions, otherwise I would have found a lot of alternatives to Tactical College Consulting, but they were really all I needed. Word of mouth was all I needed then, and after getting into both of my goal schools and choosing USC, I strongly recommend Tactical to anyone looking for clear helpful advice and targeted assistance. I love USC and I was the only guy in my graduating class who got into it. Final note: I would probably have gone to U Mich if I wanted liberal arts majors like poly sci, but since I wanted entertainment/business and warm weather, that's how I chose USC> Would you recommend this consultant or hire them again?: yes

Narrative Review (More detail = more helpful) BACKGROUND & GOALS: My mom wanted me to get extra help in terms of selecting colleges to apply to and once I applied, help with submitting great essays and strong overall applications. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES: I worked with Craig Meister, the lead consultant. He provided me a list of schools to apply to based on my interests. Then, a few months later helped with each application (from essays to interview prep) before I sent them out. RESULTS & FINAL THOUGHTS: I have already gotten into two rolling schools on my list and I am waiting to hear from the others. I just really appreciate the help Tactical College Consulting gave me - it was so much more in-depth than anything offered by my school and having friends who used other consultants who charged insane fees, I know my parents and I got unbelievably strong service for a reasonable price. Would you recommend this consultant or hire them again?: yes
