Narrative Review (More detail = more helpful) BACKGROUND & GOALS: I go to a large public school where there are 640 kids in my grade. The college counselors didn't know anything and could not answer my questions. So I went to one of Dave's lectures and realized he was just what I needed. There are so many colleges to choose from and I needed help figuring out where I belonged. In addition I felt as if I was heading into the admissions process completely blind. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES: I worked with Dave Montesano. He helped me figure out which colleges I should apply to and ultimately helped me through the whole confusing process. His knowledge, advise, and personal attention was great and he answered all my questions. RESULTS & FINAL THOUGHTS: I wanted schools that had good sciences and provided good financial aid. I was admitted to UC Berkeley, UCLA, UCSD, Rice, Tulane, Trinity Univ., Grinnell, Denison, Univ. of Richmond, and Rhodes. I have chosen to attend Rice. Dave helped me figure out what school was right for me. Would you recommend this consultant or hire them again?: yes

Narrative Review (More detail = more helpful) BACKGROUND & GOALS: I hired a private consultant in my Junior year as my school only had one counselor to 100 and some students. I attended a private High School and wanted to go East for College. This service and consultant was recommended to me. I considered one other consulting service - CPSI. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES: I worked with Dave Montesano. He helped me to pick the right colleges that would be a good fit for me. He helped me with the whole process of applications, how to interview, questions to ask at college visits, and more. Basically he answered for me any question that I had and he got me into college! RESULTS & FINAL THOUGHTS: So far I have been admitted to Willamette University, Knox College and Eckerd University. I am still waiting to hear from the others, before I make my decision. I would never have been able to get through this process without Dave. Would you recommend this consultant or hire them again?: yes

Narrative Review (More detail = more helpful) BACKGROUND & GOALS: We started working with David Montesano in the end of my daughter's sophomore year. At this time my daughter attended big public school and she was not happy there.We started looking for college advisor because we realized that some critical changes were required for her to get in a good college. Her GPA at that time did not reflect her potential and her school consulor told her that she could probably get into Western Washington University at the very best. In her junior year my daughter switched to a small pruvate school and we started meeting with David regulary. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES: Telling that David helped us would be underestimate. He did a fantastic job. My daughter started seeing a goal and together with David we specified the steps required to reach this goal. Her grades improved, but most importantly David noticed that she is a good writer and helped her unleash her creative potential and demonstrate to colleges her ability. She won several national awards and her stories were published in respected literary journals. Along with this, David helped us choosing the right colleges and guided us through the entire application process. RESULTS & FINAL THOUGHTS: My daughter was accepted to some of the most selective colleges in the country: Bard, Sarah Lawrence and Cornell University. Some of the colleges (Whittier and Mills) gave her big merit-based scholarships. We are still in the process of making decision and David helps us with this. We definitely would not have such a great choice of colleges if we did not work with David. Would you recommend this consultant or hire them again?: yes
